You have to be a whale to make anything on Steemit

After more than a year on Steemit and 100+ postings I am still the pauper I was before.

I know Steemit is based on Blockchain and is all about Steem, but I was under the impression that it was about writing and blogging primarily and the Steem carrot was secondary.

Boy am I wrong.
