This item used for catching fish is called a borgo. When there is water in the area, this device is placed in the middle of the water and covered well with mud. Fish get trapped inside it, and after some time, when it is lifted, the fish are collected from it.

This morning, someone was carrying it home after lifting it. I asked him how many fish he had caught. He said he didn’t catch much today, only a few fish. The fish enter and get stuck inside it. After bringing it home, he shakes them out from inside.

This tool is mainly made of bamboo and is very effective for catching fish, which is why it's a useful item. There is a rope attached to it for pulling it in by hand, and he was using that to carry it. At that time, I stopped him for a moment. The bamboo strips were beautifully cut into small, neat pieces to make the structure.
