Correct, but with a more closed system and no official trading between different types of loyalty points, therefore it takes the volatility out of the equation. Added to that Loyalty points are experienced differently by people, knowing one can only get some products from the loyalty program.
But yeh, loyalty points is kinda money, so maybe the points shall be just an indicator for the value of all the likes without any 'monetary' element connected to the points :)
