For almost a year now, we have started training my daughter to learn how to swim and we have made a lot of progress!
At first, when we started in the pool, my daughter was scared, she almost didn't want to put her head under water. Little by little we started to play and we went deeper than usual, little by little I taught her to hold her breath better.
Later, when he had more confidence, we began to practice Croll style strokes. At first it was very difficult for him, but between games and practices he did much better each time.
A few weeks ago we started with the floating and swimming practices, what to do when you get exhausted and you are in the deepest part, for that I encouraged him to cross the deep part swimming, it is more than 20 m and he dared to swim across while I was blue. At first he had resisted because he was scared, but once he managed it he did not stop doing it.
Today we have already practiced diving, headfirst, because we practiced it several times in the deepest part of the pool until she managed to dive from the edge, from the first time she did it very well, almost perfect, then we repeated it many times until it got better and better, today I am happy because my daughter has made progress despite her fear and I think this shows that she can achieve everything she sets out to do, from the simplest to the most complex.
