Are you in a moment of paralysis or unproductivity?

There are times (I hope it's not most times) when we consciously enter a loop where we waste time, we entertain ourselves with something, we don't take action, we definitely seem anesthetized. What can we do?

We can call this "procrastination", there is a lot of talk about it, and when we are not clear on how to deal with it, we just hope it will pass or hope that the next day will be better. These moments are very different from moments of leisure or entertainment when we don't want to do anything or simply "waste time". The state of procrastination puts us in a state of paralysis and inactivity that we consciously do not want (but we do), how do we deal with it?

There are many personal development GURUS and many other things that have super infallible recipes, even so I want to share with you some recommendations that will help you get out of the state of procrastination effectively. .

We understand that the body and mind are entirely connected, so: when our mind is wandering or procrastinating we can use the body and break that cycle. What and how do we do it? Immediately get up and move, without thinking too much, take advantage and stretch your body, walk, run, drink water, wake up! This is extremely effective, do not let your mind take control in these situations.

Another recommendation to apply when you have managed to get out of that cycle and you do not want to relapse, follow the 5-minute rule, that is: choose a part of a task, the minimum to do for at least 5 minutes and once you start you will want to finish it. If you get blocked again, apart from moving you should ask yourself What can I do now? and DO IT!

When you do your tasks, use pomodoro to assign specific time blocks and have mandatory breaks, but it helps you stay focused during those 25 minutes. This way, you are less likely to get carried away by distractions and you can keep procrastination away for much longer.

Remember that if you start this cycle, the first thing is to move!
