RE: Why do Youtubers Fail on Dtube/Steem

in #steem6 years ago

You're definitely on to something...

The best part is the rather famous YouTubers who uploads all their YT content on dlive/dtube and expect to earn a big chunk of rewards for the same content again. Especially when they just upload one video after another and never reply to any comments they get.

They try to milk the cow but quickly realize that the cow is dry for people who doesn't care about the community.

Sort:

We suffer from Dry Cow syndrome to begin with. To be honest, its hard to make room for takers, exclusive takers.

I also share your disdain for the, "i uploaded this last week... lemme upload it here too and make some more monies". I find that dodgy and I'm being charitable.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if the YouTubers uploaded their entire YT-channels on dlive/dtube and focused on those platforms instead of YouTube in the future... But many of them seems to "try" dlive/dtube with existing/old content of theirs. And seriously, why would anyone reward such content?

People with thousands of followers are ahead of many others as soon as they join Steemit. They just have to realize "how to steemit" and how to use their existing audience when they dip their toes in new waters.
