What I Did Today: A Simple Day in My Life
Hello, friends! I hope you’re all doing well. As for me, I’m doing great, thanks to your good wishes. Today, I want to share a little glimpse of my day with you—specifically, what I shopped for and cooked. I hope you enjoy reading about my simple yet fulfilling routine. Let’s dive in!
A Morning Start
This morning, I began my day as usual—brushing my teeth, washing my face, and drinking a glass of warm water. For breakfast, I had a handful of dates and nuts, followed by some homemade flour bread (roti) paired with fried potatoes (aloo bhaji). The combination was absolutely delicious and gave me the energy I needed to start my day.
A Trip to the Market
After breakfast, I headed to the market. I got into a car to reach the bustling area and, after arriving, strolled through the aisles of fresh produce and other goods. My first stop was the fish and meat section, where I carefully picked out some fresh fish.
Next, I explored the vegetable stalls. I bought a variety of produce, including cauliflower, beans, potatoes, and tomatoes. These would later form the base of a hearty meal for my family.
Before leaving, I picked up some milk and a pack of biscuits. The biscuits were incredibly tasty, perfect for a snack or to pair with tea. If you haven’t tried this combo, I highly recommend it!
Back Home and Into the Kitchen
Once I returned home, it was time to prepare lunch. The fish was cooked separately, while the vegetables—cauliflower, tomatoes, beans, and potatoes—were combined into a flavorful curry.
Our lunch was simple but satisfying. The freshly cooked fish and vegetable curry were enjoyed by everyone in my family, making the effort of shopping and cooking worthwhile.
Thank you for joining me in this small recap of my day. Sometimes, it’s the simplest routines—like shopping, cooking, and eating with loved ones—that bring the most joy.
Until next time, take care and stay happy! 😊
