Reputation is an interesting part of Steem. Overall, I like it. The number isn't the be-all-end-all of information about the user, but it does tell you something. Maybe some of the rules around it could be tweaked to make it optimal, but for the most part I think it's useful and fun. It gives us something to strive for when the Steem price is so low that our posts/comments pay us essentially nothing.
