RE: Age Of Abundance: The Expense Side: A Technological Explosion That Will Seriously Reduce Costs

While what you are writing is possibly the future, still a lot of hurdles have to be taken.
Like this week were an automated self driving uber car, did kill a pedestrian. I don’t who was to blame but for sure it will have an impact on the viewpoint of lots of people.
So yes, it will be the future but maybe it will take some more time then you envisioned it.
I read today that Snovio is building a linkedin version based in the concept of Steem. People will get paid to post their resume. So considering the online part we are taking 10 hurdles at the time! The offline part will just take some longerI guess!

My response about the self driving death (although as you point out we dont know who is at fault) is simply how many death occurred on the US hwys the same day due to people?

You are right, this setback will change perception...but drive on a busy interstate near a major city in the US and you will see that most people should not be behind the wheel of a 1500-2000 lb vehicle.

I didnt hear that about Snovio...that is very interesting.....go after Microsoft on that one.

Everything in the IT is like building bridges.
There was a time that people did start building bridges, a lot of them collapsed, but they kept improving and nowadays you rarely hear about bridges collapsing. Unfortunately one did last week and it was major news, it even reached mainstream media here in Europe.
It will be the same for cryptos, block chain and so on. But I do believe that there will be at least an equal number of blockchains without cryptocurrency than with.
Will dedicate a post to that later this week or early next week.

A bridge just collapsed in Florida last week...so it is still happening.

The self driving death is a "normal thing" to happen, because the idea of autonomous cars is not to prevent deads to happen completely but to avoid at a maximum, if you compare the number of deaths because of human drivers with, this only dead (first ever), it isn't even fair to talk about a dead by autonomous car...

I know but like @taskmaster4450 wrote it will set back the perception of people. We, humans, are full of mistakes and make them everyday.
Self driving car will make less mistakes but they are programmed by ...: oh yeah humans!
I am in the ICT myself and have never seen a program without bugs!!!

Yep unfortunately when mistakes like this or the bridge happen people usually die. And that responsibility is huge.
