Have you noticed the increase in the value of your vote?

in #steem7 years ago

Maybe you noticed that curation rewards are up, too?

It seems to me that maybe the big boys arent sucking it up as hard as before the fork.

The value of your vote only goes up so many ways.
The price isnt up, total vote volume is nearly the same.
That means that the large accounts are leaving more crumbs on the table, to me.

You have to decide for you.

Unfortunately, I think this only temporary. HF20 gave people negative credits. So a huge number of people couldn't vote for five days. The rewards balance jumped up about 20%. It is currently 883,759. But it will drop as people start collecting rewards in this upcoming week.

The stats by archange shows that voting has recovered. Our temporary gain will be short lived.

BTW: I did managed to write one post during the HF20 catastrophe. It got over a dollar in upvotes.

It's a lottery.
Just gotta post more.

lol, it's true fewer users equal fewer votes equal greater distribution of the reward pool by the remaining votes. Time for some to take advantage and grow their account.

The meme is funny! Have a great day!

Thanks, you are very kind.

Yes, the less rshares pulling from the pool equals a much larger happy user base.

I've noticed and was wondering how the vote value increased without steem going up as well.

Right after HF20, I noticed some accounts had dropped in value too, but are back to where they were previously.

Lots of moving parts in steem.

"Lots of moving parts" I agree...Perhaps too many; simplicity of design often makes for a smoother running vehicle.

What are curation rewards?

Lol, I know, right?
When you only vote on posts with less than a dollar on them curation rewards are rare like bigfoot tracks.

Yes, curation rewards for those posts are for people who's vote actually is worth more than a couple cents which in turn gives the rest of the people who voted on that post a much better chance at some curation rewards. Win win.

Think particularily the people who were nervous about the HF and preemptively voted most of their SP away just before the HF.
