RE: Moving to hive

It's great that you mention comments. I'm building @we-are which is a community based free upvoter (blog on @we-are-one). Right now, like many efforts, @we-are rewards posts but I'd love to get it to the stage where I am also upvoting comments. I think minnow upon arrival to steem think it's all about posting, but really minnows would generally do better by making good connections via comments.
Glad to hear of your work for dTube. I've been tracking Nebulus.app - they are trying to help voluntarily host the video files. I'd love it if there was an easy to install desktop app I could give my steem user name, point it at a folder and give it a size allocation and then have it help with the IPFS caching of the dtube videos made by people I follow. Nebulus.app is trying to do something like that - but they're not there yet.

Do you have a discord channel I could join and check out? That sounds like a fantastic idea. I am glad to hear Nebulus is working on that. I am the Executive Director of DCooperation and we have a gentleman who is working on a Uploader as well. If you are interested in using it let me know. I believe it is functioning even though I have not tried it yet. I honestly have not had any issues with uploads myself recently. I know that people want their files to last and I believe the uploader gives the files a longer life. If you want more details just let me know. I am not involved with the tech side of things. I am involved more with the social aspects of DCooperation. I will check @we-are out now though.. sounds neat!

As for what you said about minnows I totally agree. I think we should connect through conversations and with people first. That means more than just creating to dump as opposed to creating to connect. Making meaningful connections is the foundation of a strong channel. That is done through dialogue and reaching out to people. I think we have to build from the basement up and that is the only way to have a strong channel. Who sets a house down with out a basement first? Then they complain when it blows away? lol it is funny to me. Interpersonal connections are the most important thing any Steemian can do as well as any sensible entrepreneur. It makes no difference to me if someone has a 10,000 camera.. if they don't connect with me on some sort of level I will not return to watch. In fact this is proven through Bernie Sanders. This guy who I can't see entertains the heck out of me. I can't see him. So you see equipment makes no difference.. and in fact even videos don't either. Sure those are great things and if you have them and want to create great! But the number one most important is connecting with audience. Even if you are not seen and the connection is done via comments, responses, posts, thoughts. Once they connect to you then you will find yourself an audience that keeps coming back. It is all about longevity.
