Steemit is a business place, we can't take business out of it operation and that's why we are having this problem.
But, if their is a way we can end bidbots, I think we can think of progress from there, though the rich will always get rich no matter the system, but it will lead to the making of more middle class people which would make the steemit wealth evenly distributed.
Just my view anyway....
