Impressive Buy Wall For SBD On The Internal Market: A 57,000 STEEM Order Waits To Be Filled

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

There's something going on in the internal market too, not only in the South Korean exchange Upbit. These are the buy orders for STEEM stacking up on the internal market:

Responsible for this huge green pressure is a single buy order for STEEM, in which more than 57,000 STEEM are to be bought for more than 44,000 SBD, which will drive to price to 0.7745.

The value in fiat for this order is more than $300,000!

That's one hell of a bet for STEEM!

Later edit: to put these numbers in context: the entire 24 hours volume on the internal market is less than $10,000!

Wanna know when you're getting paid?

I know the feeling. That's why I created steem.supply, an easy to use and accurate tool for calculating your Steemit rewards

It's free to use, but if you think this is a useful addition, I'd appreciate your witness vote.

Thank you!

That makes me very happy! Thank you for sharing this with us. It is a good time to be a Steemian. We'll look back on this time and laugh that we got ecxited though because it was just the beginning.

Woah, that's huge. Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more of this

Wow, looks like @freedom is stocking up even more. Wonder what it feels like to have that much money to throw around.

@freedom is also the one handpicking the top 19 witnesses. If you don't have his vote, it's basically impossible to get there. Thanks for digging this up :)

How did you find out it was @freedom?

Little SQL query.

300K shot is a strong one shot! something interesting is approaching!

Holy shot.. is that the reason the the internal market Price dropped ?

This is interesting, I wonder who owns so much SBD? I understand that somebody wants to do this trade after the recent price increase though...

it's @freedom, a long standing Steemit whale...

Thank you for this info. Is this public info you can see anywhere?

Yes, all transactions on Steemit are public, you just need to know where you search. Here's the link posted by @maxg earlier: https://steemd.com/tx/33bf2a51ace9f3dd8ff9b0ded50666c412a6f4cb

I thought, the first moment I saw the chart, that there was all buyers and no sellers, but actually, as you pointed out the whole scale has been shifted.
The little line on the right is normal height.

the perfect image for "stepping up the game" :)

This looks really interesting...may be this will drive Steem price above $6...

Is this part of the play? Pump SBD because it's far easier, break the SBD/Steem correlation, jump into Steem and let the momentum of the trade itself pump Steem until the ratio improves and then dump Steem for fiat? It seems almost too simple to be true, but we've seen lazier games be played on the market so...

SBD seems to be the "lens" which "magnifies" the value of STEEM in this game...

Absolutely. It's the kindling for the fire and they sell off before it burns down. Let's hope we aren't left with coals when they decide to move on to another game. And I wish my upvotes could generate more KRW for you!

I just looked at the Upbit volumes in this post: https://steemit.com/steem/@dragosroua/there-s-something-very-strange-happening-with-steem-and-sbd-in-the-south-korean-exchange-upbit - but that's Upbit only, internal market wasn't very used until now, that buy wall is something new...

I just noticed that. It makes the sellers look really small. lol
