Cambridge Analytica Suspends CEO ALexander Nix For Comments On Rigging Elections
A serious of undercover videos with Nix making suggestions on how to fix an election in Sri Lanka was released in a scathing expose by Britain's Channel 4 News. The CEO of Cambridge Analytica was suspended after video of him was released discussing rigging elections by the use of bribery, entrapment, blackmail and paid sex.
The newest installment of the serious aired moments after his suspension became public. The newly aired report detailed Cambridge Analyticas involvement with the US elections, specifically the Trump campaign. According to Channel 4 the reason behind the hiring of Cambridge Analytica was to garner support from the Mercer family, which helped to start the London based company to begin with. The Mercer family is also the big money backing Breitbart News which publishes outlandish conspiracy theories, falsehoods and right-winged propaganda. Betsy Devos was also backed by the Mercer family before becoming The United States Secretary of Education.
The firm was also hired by the Make America Number 1 Pac, which was funded entirely by the Mercer family to help promote the Trump campaigns agenda from the background. These PAC's have no limits unlike a normal campaign committee and can allocate and use funds however the campaign coordinators wish.
Since the initial airing of the series Channel 4 has been inundated by threats of lawsuits and financial ruin by unnamed sources.
