Been nice not a pushover

in #steem7 years ago

Just be clear, I may be advocating been nice not been push over .
Consider the below scenarios;

    • An employee hands in a report , but he's left off vital points. Instead of speaking to him about it, you complain to colleagues about his sloppiness and fill in the blanks yourself.*

*- or you were all night listening to your neighbour's dogs barking and instead of going over to tell him, you complain about it on Facebook and other social media.

_ A friend hands you a large loave of bread even though you told her you didn't want any. You don't want to hurt her feelings so you eat it.images (28).jpg

Do any of the above sound familiar ?
Bottling up resentment and suffering in silence is often seen as been "nice" , but actually you're not doing yourself any favour. What you are doing is sabotaging your own relationship and sometimes even reinforcing aggressive behaviour.
