RE: Did you watch Ned's Live Stream?
I've been entertaining the notion of forking for some time but we would need to find people with the right talent and also hearts to make it happen.
You know we've been working to try to salvage this shipwreck but perhaps it's been akin to pissing in the wind. The cancer may be too deep.
Starting to get the impression that there are some really bad people in this space putting up a false veneer. They like to talk freedom and philosophy of crypto but think what they are really trying to "liberate" is our money into their wallets. I knew I was justified in being apprehensive about converting any more BTC to Steem.
I don't want people to accuse me of being negative or toxic. Rather, I think I am just being realistic because I know that people suck.
I'll still put in time to improving this place. Hell, I don't even plan to power down. If we really do fork or even create something better, we could always do some sort of airdrop for everybody else that ends up getting screwed.
You know how they say. Karma's a bitch. I believe it will come back to them if that was the intent.
Note: I don't believe in karma but just for the sake of expression. Same result delivered via a different agent.
Its just a matter of time for them.
The world is majority good.
If we assume that only evil people have spare cash laying around to fund this scam then we can also assume that their vibe only allows like minded folks to persist in their presence.
If you've seen who is running this scene the conclusion is likely that white hats were not the prime mover behind steem.
That doesnt stop steem living up to its potential, just handicaps its ultimate arrival.
Until we have enough coders, witnesses, and mass to make our own fork viable there isnt much we can do but blog about it.
Get your pull requests ready and when the time is right we can let a coup go down.
That way we all learn who our friends are?
speak to ura-soul, I think you will find a ally there.
