RE: Steemian List of Assets Stolen by Hive

in #steem5 years ago (edited)

I personally don't care about the coins, nor the exclusion list, as I have no interest in posting on Hive.

My grievance is with the assets Hive stole from me, namely, my original content. I've never signed over licensing of my content over to Hive. That did not happen. They did not receive my permission to clone and publish my content.

I do have an entitlement to the intellectual rights to my own work.

To me, this list represents a list of Steem members whose intellectual property was plagiarized and is being used to promote a new business venture.

Their assets were indeed stolen.

The bottom line is: I did not give my consent. I do not wish my content nor my name on Hive.

Sort:

You might be the most stupid person that I've seen online since 2001.

You did put this stuff online yourself - on a full public chain. Lucky you, you could go and delete your content. But that ain't the point right? You just want to drift with the water of endless stupidity.

Btw. every Witness server basically has offline copies of your posts, to be able to run properly. This is like christmas, right?

Now, the argument in regards to content, I can totally agree with. I can't offer a solution or a process to get the content removed but I totally understand the argument.

I am a writer. I would not want my content posted without my consent.

The decentralized nature of a blockchain does present a problem in getting unwanted content removed by the rightful owner. I'm not technically inclined enough to know how it would be accomplished short of suggesting you log in long enough to delete the content.

If you wanted to do that and were in need of HP for resource credits in order to do the deleting, I can offer some delegation to support that.

I published the first chapter of one of my books on Steem as a gift to the Steem community. I also published segments of two other books I am working on, also as a gift to the community of Steem. These are life long projects that are very near and dear to my heart. Not the mention the endless quantity of high quality photography that was not published anywhere else(again as a gesture of love and kindness to the community).
I feel extremely violated that my content is being used to promote someone else's business(especially this one).
Why? I have a grievance with some of the witnesses after spending many hours researching wallets, accounts, transactions, histories and more(and what I discovered as a consequence). This is why I do not wish to support their work. I do not support some of the decisions they have made in the past.
I feel betrayed, I lost my trust in them, and I have no faith moving forward with them.
I feel that is my right.

I absolutely agree that I am not "entitled" to any of their coins. I understand that I voiced a counter opinion and did not vote with them. I understand they gifted tokens only to those they deemed "worthy".

Yes @shawowspub, all I want is to remove my content from Hive. That is what I am upset about.

Help would be greatly appreciated!
