The Diary Game|| October 14, 2025|| " Planting Camote Vines and Crops And Plant Checking in My Garden"

Today is Another day to become productive and Gardening is one of my top priority today. This time I decided to replant my white camote leaves here in my simple garden and it really needs a lot of time before finishing this planting activities . Aside of that I will also plant camote crops here and with the help of my Partner who plowed the land and created a garden plot just for my crops, I am very thankful about having a garden plot. This morning at exactly 5 in the morning when we went at the Garden to start replanting but before that I separated those red Camote cuttings from white cuttings. It is nice to have lots of vegetables that is why planting is the best way to have lots of it.

Preparing the Cuttings:

First, I prepared the cuttings and I cut it in equal length so it will very easy to plant at the garden plot. Camote vines usually grows within a week and it is easy to propegate and can survived in the intense hot weather. It takes almost an hour of cutting and separating those tubers and after that, we want to make sure that the garden plot are ready and well prepared before planting those tubers and cuttings. Aside of planting camote vines, my Partner also cut few camote crops vines to be planted also at the Garden.

Planting Camote Crops:

The next thing we did was to create another garden plot just for my Camote crops cuttings. It takes a few minutes after finishing it and we proceed to plant those cuttings. First, I cut those long camote vines into two and gently planted it in the plot. My Partner also brought sawdust as an organic fertilizers and we mixed it in the soil. The plot contains three rows of camote cuttings and this will be a lots of crops when it bares. For me, it is very tiring situations of my life but it is not an obstacles for me and I kept myself more productive in everyday life aside of that I have a confidence to myself to have lots of camote crops in the right time. This was my first time to plant young camote cuttings but It was not very hard for me because my Grandma teach me how to plant perfectly, and I applied when she teach me here in my Garden.

My White Camote vines was also well planted and all I have to do is to wait until it will stabled. By next day, there will have young leaves and sprouts grows and that is the time to cultivate the soil again so the roots will expanding. Each hole contains 5 cuttings but I noticed that there are still lots of spaces to planted that is why I decided to plant two cuttings on each hole.

Making A Simple Fence:

After that, We also decided to built a simple fence out of dry bamboo branches so the plants will kept away from Cows and Carabaos. Chickens are expectedly to came inside of the garden but its not really harmful to my plants specially my newly planted camote crops. My partner also helping me gathering lots of bamboo branches and it was really difficult to gathered and pulled out those branches because of the thorns contains on it. Gladly we got lots of it and the simple fence will be put on time. Dry coconut leaves are also very important to support the bamboo branches piled on each side of the Garden, and aside of that madre de cacao branches also good as a fence posts.

My Chilli Pepper Plant:

It takes almost an hour of making a simple fence and after that, I hurriedly checked my Chilli pepper plant. I covered it with net so the chilli peppers wont eat by the chicken, covering it with nets are much better to keep those chilli pepper safe from chickens. As I noticed it, those chilli peppers are ready to harvest because it contains lots of ripe chilli. My planned for this is to do chilli harvesting by next day.

Checking my Pineapple:

I was very surprised when I saw this ripe pineapple fruit here in the Garden. It is hard to see because it hid on the leaves until as I checked it not knowing that there is a ripe pineapple fruit. I hurriedly cut it and very excited to brought it back home. The crown of this pineapple will be planted here again and gladly I have fifty pineapple plants here in the garden. It was very tiring but enjoyable experience of my life, until next post have a nice day to everyone.
