I started playing the steem pong game and I found it to be much more interesting than most games I've played except for some things that are missing. Anyways, this is part of the steem retro game and if you've not played this game before, this is the link to play. This is a quick tutorial on how to play the steem pong game. It's rather interesting that we have a number of games on the steemit platform. Quite interesting to know that these games are effective tools in promoting the steemit platform and has increased the user base on this platform.

Let's get to the steem pong game which I'd like to introduce. Some of us know it as a retro game but I think this was added recently, as the first retro game we had was the space invasion. It may have been in existence but I'm seeing it for the first time.

Introduction to Steem Pong Game

Steem Pong game is a Retro game that can be played either for free or by purchasing a token. The game is all about making use of a slide to bounce the moving ball upwards to different angles, preventing it from escaping the slide or bar. If it misses the bar you're using, you'll lose a life. Every player is entitled to 10 lives in the game and you're to manage your lives by preventing the ball from escaping the bar you're using. In the game arena are credits or points in the form of timers, steem logo and the likes. All these have weighty points that increase your score.

  • The country's flag gives you a lesser point than the clock
  • The clock gives you a higher point than the country's flag but gives a lower point than the steem logo
  • The steem logo gives a higher point than all the elements mentioned above.
  • While the dollar element gives a higher point than all those mentioned above.

It's a game of tactics. The place the ball bounces on your bar is where it will go. If you allow the ball to hit the side of your bar, it goes to the side, either right or left. If it hits the middle of your bar, it goes vertically upwards without going sideways.

If you're targeting a particular element, you must allow your bar or slide to hit any place you know it can propel the movement you want. The slide is movable and if you're not fast in moving the slides, you'll use your life in the game which is your chance of playing.

It's more like a table tennis between two players. You have your opponent on top while you're below. Your opponent is constant and can miss but barely miss. Even if he misses, it won't be counted to him. It's you the weight is on. If you strike and he strikes, you must strike back. If you allow the ball escape your bar, you lose.

You get to see your score and rank in the scoreboard. Currently we have someone who has a score of 2700. Can anyone best this? I want to know if purchasing tokens with steems gives you more life as that's what it means if I'm not mistaken

How to Play

This is a demonstrative video on how to play this game. To play successfully, you must consider angles and where bounces may lead to. If someone bounces sideways, you must know where and how it will land. You then move your slide or bar to prevent it from falling.

  • Tap on the Play button.

  • You must be alert as initially, the ball will be moving slowly until you have attained a score of 200 upwards. It would start moving fast. Being alert and focused helps you prevent losing a life in the game.

  • You must know where your ball will land and this is determined by how your opponent which is the upper guy, hits the ball. Whatever direction he hits the ball, you must follow. And note, if the ball hits the side walls, be calculative. Where do you think this ball will fall to? You. Can't keep your bar in the same position it hits sideways. You must take it to the other side or in the middle. You must be fast as well. *When you're fast, you keep your chances of playing in continuous motion.

  • When you lose a life, don't give up because once you lose, you can still lose 2-5 lives if you're not careful. Once a player misses the ball, the ball comes back at full speed, bouncing down to our bar.

  • You must always target good components that will give you a higher score or you play normally to avoid losing. Don't allow your ball hit the edge of your bar except you can be swift enough to control it. You also have time for a good game play. Ff
  • There are no outright rules to playing. It's just for you to be very careful, smart, focused and fast. Any slight distraction can cause a lot of damage.
My Gaming Experience

This is my second time playing this game though, but I recorded my second experience as the first. I started off with a 325 score. I failed because I wasn't alert when the ball returned after missing my bar. It was just too fast that I couldn't control it and it was bouncing sideways which made me unable to predict where it would bounce to.

I played the second time and was topped up by 400 points. I'll try my best to hit my highest score of 792.

My tips and Suggestions for a good game play

I'll solicit that @girolamomarotta add the following features to this game to increase our gaming experience. The need for sounds is important in every game. Sounds may cause distractions but motivate players. When sounds are absent in a game, it makes the game boring overtime. This sound may not be music. It can be simple sounds produced when the ball hits the bar or claims the credits in the game arena.

It can always be congratulations, you've surpassed 200 points. It will motivate players. Or, failure sounds when a life is lost. The gaming experience would be enhanced. My humble suggestions though.

  • Secondly, I was thinking the timer would return one's life back. I didn't know it was part of the points count. If there's a timer or a heart, it should be to regain life back. So I will suggest that a heart which stands for restored life be brought into the game and may just appear seldom during the game play so that players can claim. Let's just say it can come up after every 200-300 points claimed.
  • In addition, if possible, there should be virtual challengers where we compete with people instead of the automated computer. There can be a line drawn to separate credits like the steem logo. If I enter your house and eat a credit, it would be counted for me. If you enter my house and eat a credit, it would be counted for me.

These are a few suggestions I think will improve our game play in this game. In all, my game experience is 90%. I love the game because it helps one become focused and swift in his doing of thing.....
