Meet Kofi and Yaw, the children who attentively posed to camera during the Ashanti team visit to Children's home
This post may sound humorous to you right? Yes indeed it is. However, those who part-take in the Ashanti team visit to children's home in the city of Kumasi on the 25th February last Sunday will testify to why this post is not just humorous but news worthy.
The children we met at the home ain't the 'normal' children we found in our homes or see on the street. Even though there are some special children over there but those we don't consider as special children have special trait which makes them very difficult to handle. Infact the management of the house deserves commendation for such motherly love they show to the children. People might not understand where I am coming from but I wish you could one day by any reason have interactions with them and my words will be few to share my experience.
The way they behave made some steemians believed its because they dont have parental guidance as the children in our homes. They are they too rigid, difficult to understand, cant differentiate between fighting and playing, they see everybody as their dad, so they expect you to be responsible as soon as they see you and what have you.
We all know kids always love to be captured by camera. But the case of these kids are far different. Before they can stay calm and pose to the camera, sometimes you need to give them something before they agree to pose with you. That's why you see some of the children carrying our placards. At times too you need to carry them, otherwise forget. No amount of sweet words or lullaby can convince these kids to take a shot with you.
@anaman trying to convince them to take selfie with them
@steem4depoor, a friend and @zicodee had to carry them for a pose.
sometimes we had to give them our placards
I believe by now you have also agreed this post is not just funny but these two boys need commendation for staying calm for my shot. Nothwistanding, there are some children i saw with potentials and great future if they get support.
This is just one of the things that happened at the Ashanti team visit to the Kumasi Children's home.

Wow....little steemians...I'm so glad these children felt at least care and a sense of belonging....good work.
Sure. They called us Dad...meaning they know we are theirs
Awww....that was very lovely....this really shows how they just needed someone to call dad and you guys did a great work by availing yourselves to them.
Wow...amazing
Yea...thanks buddy.
Isn't it beautiful? Looking at the smiles on the children's faces. I wish to see these smiles on their faces everyday. @zicodee.
Sure...kids smiling is a blessing
it's good that people like you visit those shelters where children lack lack of love, greetings, I wait for you in my blog
I hear you. Thank you
