Wine gums

 

I have just finished my four long day shifts in hospital and to tell the truth I am glad that they are now over. Lately the shifts become busier and busier we have more patients coming but the number of staff is the same like about 10 years ago.

Often during the day we are on our feet while we visit patients in different wards, admitting patients from Emergency departments and often busy with new admissions we often do not have enough time for proper breaks and lunch time.

On one hand, I think our mind concentrates on more serious stuff like to diagnose what is wrong with patients and often we never have time to think about.

Of course, my hubby knows about that and the days when I come home and bring my lunch box back the same like it was in the morning with my food. At home then I admit that I had no time for proper meal but I grabbed some snacks here and there.

Because of that my hubby often prepares me such little quick snacks as he knows that I definitely will eat them. These are wine gums, they are delicious and have different flavour. I do not have any favourite I love all of them. Usually it is good just to bridge over the time between surgeries, seeing patients and just when there is no time and we rash to review someone who is unwell. I usually grab some and they are in my pocket, the good thing about those wine gums they do not melt like chocolates.

That is why, my advise for quick snack is wine gums :)
