Steem Cartoon: More Drawing Practice

in #steem-cartoon7 years ago

Hello Again!

Hope you fellow Steemians are doing well today.

Here's another one of my drawings that I've done very recently.
Today, I felt like making a quick face drawing and a fullbody shot from far. There's not much I can say about this piece to be honest but it's just a piece that I feel satisfied enough to share.

- A small tip about drawing details:
One thing I'm pretty sure that a lot of artists already know is that: The further the camera is from the subject, the less detailed the subject should be. And that's something you can see here. It can definitely save your time from working on unnecessary details.

Here is the process of how I created this picture.

Sketching:

Most of my drawings start off with a simple and messy sketch. I've seen a lot of artists out there who are able to come up with fantastic sketches that may as well be their final product and for that, I have a very high level of respect for them. But for me, I'm still unable to make those kinds of sketches. My sketches only enable me visualize the shape of my drawing when I wanna start doing the lineart.

And once I'm done with sketching, I make thick linearts in the style I'm currently used to.

Shading:

And then some shading...

And done! ... I'd add colour but colouring really isn't my forte.

Once again, thank you all so much for reading my post, will be posting again real soon!

I really like the way you display the sketch against the background with the shadows. It's cool that you put that extra little effort in there to make it look nice.
And great advice with doing less detail for things that are farther away!

Sometimes I use my sketch layer as shading so I don't have to delete it. I'm very honored if you found my content useful, thank you very much for the feedback! ^^

Thank you very much! glad you like it ^^

Keep em coming dude. Maybe some environment concepts :)

Ooooh yes, I'll have to do some of that now that you 've mentioned it :3

Its not everyday that you can see a step to step process being disclosed by an artist. Sharing his techniques and method of producing an awesome product. Very impessive... many wished to see more...

Much to learn, much to share, and much to discuss. It's an honor to be recognized by someone such as yourself and I'd value any constructive criticism you'd have to offer.

THis is a legit way of teaching the non artists how to sketch. Very detailed and intricately done! :) i once wished i had the same talent. Good job @roshans! :)

Oh why, thank you very much! ^^ I'm definitely not a professional but I do love sharing what I know. Glad to know that you were able to get something out of my post.
If you continue to have a strong interest in art, I'm sure you can become amazing at it as long as you keep on practicing and enjoying what you do.

Just followed you to keep track on your future wrks. ;)

Thanks! Upvoted and followed you as well :)
