What I ate in Cardiff - Day 1 😊

Hello!

My first post using Steem-Atlas, how exciting!

I explored Cardiff recently for a few days, and I've taken pictures of my meals or any other bits that I wanted to show.

Here's what I ate today (Cardiff edition)!

I went to the Bike Lock Café.

This is an image of the outside of the café that I found on Google maps! I forgot to take a picture of the outside when I visited because I was really hungry, so thankfully I could find a picture using the street view function on Google maps.

Here's a photo of the menu and then a nice picture of my coffee with the menu, and the decorations on the table.

It was quite hard to chose which options on the menu that I wanted, as there were so many things that caught my interest!

I did feel like the prices were quite high for what the items were, but it was in Cardiff, which is the capital city of Wales, so the high prices were understandable- unfortunately!

I got the Maple Spice latte which was £4.30, this would be around 26 STEEM. It was quite steep in price for quite a small drink!

I did enjoy this, but I wish they gave a larger amount of it, considering typically the price of latte's can be at most £3 (18 STEEM) … not sure!

I also got a brownie for me and my friend to share. The brownie had a really moist, soft texture- it was SO delicious. This was £3 which would be roughly 18 STEEM. Much like the drink, I feel that £3 for a small brownie was definitely too much, but I did think it was tasty.

For our food- we both got the Halloumi, rocket & sweet chili brioche roll/burger. This came with some crisps and simple leaf salad. The halloumi roll cost £7.95, which is around 48 STEEM. Like everything else during this café visit, it did feel overpriced for what it was. That is what usually happens when you eat in big cities so it wasn't a shock- but I do wish it wasn't so expensive. I did enjoy it so I'm not complaining too much!

This was the highlight of my visit, because WOW! What a treat, I don't have much of a tolerance for spice, but this sweet chili was manageable and very tasty. The brioche roll was so soft and delicate, and it went amazingly with the fried halloumi inside.

Since having this lovely meal, I've been thinking of buying some halloumi, sweet chili and brioche buns for home so I can try to make this again- lol! 😁

All together, our visit at the Bike Lock Café, in Cardiff cost £19.25, which would be about 115 STEEM.

Thank you for reading!
