University of Ruhuna - A Part of nature of my Campus🎓 ❤️

You all are welcome to my blog. Today I am going to share with you about the university I am studying at. I attended the university on October 10, 2022. I was selected for the Bachelor of Computer Science degree at the University of Ruhuna in the second bot round. The campus is located about 60km from my home. Therefore, I did not feel the lack of my family. Another reason for this is the presence of many good friends on campus.

Sri Lanka can be described as a small island nation rich in breathtaking landscapes located in the Indian Ocean. In the path that a state takes its values ​​to the future, it will be an indispensable requirement in every era to produce a perfect intellectual generation with education, attitudes and skills.

The University of Ruhuna is located on a 50-acre land with a beautiful coastline, a beautiful mountain range and a blue-green wetland in the Wellamadama area of ​​Matara. This can be identified as the largest intellectual center in Sri Lanka.

As soon as we enter the campus, we can see a bridge. It is called the Butterfly Bridge (Samanala Palama). The reason why it is called the Samanala Palama (Butterfly Bridge) is because when we look at the bridge from the top of our campus, the lake looks like two wings of a butterfly. Then the bridge looks like a body of a butterfly.

One of my favorite places on campus is this banyan tree. Most of the time, when there are no lectures, this is where we spend most of our time.

Now the next picture I uploaded shows the old wala and the Science Faculty library. Many events are organized at this place called the cave. One of the events that I was most excited about was the 2022 Ruhuna Christmas Spectacular event. It was the first event I attended since I arrived on campus. The event lasted until about 12 midnight. I remember that a light rain also fell on that day, which was filled with Christmas decorations and events. That made the function even more colorful.

Every building on our campus has 7 roof tiles. The reason for that is that Matara is a very hot place. 7 rows of such tiles have been used to reduce this heat.

This is the Sadaluthalaya of the campus. This place can see the sea and the lake at the same time. This is the highest point on the campus. The entire campus is clearly and beautifully visible from here. This is a place where the beautiful mountains and the beautiful environment beyond can be seen clearly. Our campus is called Hulang Kanda because the gentle breeze blows from all directions.

There is a beautiful place called Wala near the management faculty. There are circular steps there and when there is a function, we sit on these steps and watch it.

There are 9 faculties in all in the Ruhuna campus. 4 of those 9 faculties are in the campus where I am in the Wellamadama area of ​​Matara. The remaining faculties are located outside the campus, in places like Karapitiya and Kamburupitiya, Hapugala,etc. Another special feature is that it has an underground water and electricity system.

Ruhuna campus is one of my favorite campuses. When I applied to campuses, I applied mostly to the courses I liked at Ruhuna University. Because its beauty and the beautiful environment in which I can study made my mind to join it. It has been 3 years since I came to this campus. Three wonderful years that have remained in my life for many memories. I remember a song at this time. 🎵🎤 Memories bring back, memories bring back 🎶...
