RE: Why is the price of STEEM pumping, and what is the effect?
Looks like lots of people are getting into crypto and looking for coins to invest in. Steem is benefiting from this. They need to learn that it's more than just a currency. If they power up then they will earn a little interest, but then they do lose the ability to sell quickly. I'd rather see steady price rises than the 200% gains we see sometimes on other coins that just get dumped the next day. Fun times
Steady growth indicates investment which is a far more positive sign for long term prospects than massive pumps followed by massive dumps.
Yes! I was also surprised to see that STEEM was rising alongside BTC - usually it's the inverse.
I've only just heard about it, really like the application of the technology. It's definitely still an emerging market very much in it's infancy, with massive potential. Really looking forward to seeing where it goes.
Welcome to Steemit. It could really shake things up as people are earning without relying on ads like most other sites. I hope to see lots of new business models built on it.
Steemit beats the hell out of Reddit or Medium right now. We just need more exposure. One way is just to get that price up. The rewards pool seems to be more fair now, so its time to get the communities and many Steem apps going!
