In the case of The DAO, for more than six hours, no one knew that the money was stealing from the contract. Our thing would react in 15 seconds

Hello, my review on the flock about the Ukrainian start-up.

Last week in New York, a significant event for the whole blockbuster industry took place - the Consensus 2017 conference. As part of the event, the annual hackathon of blockbuster developers called The Proof-of-Work Competition was held. The main prize - a check for $ 10 thousand went to the decentralized crypto-exchange 0x ("zero exes"), focused on digital assets of the standard ERC20.

The second place in the hackathon was taken by a project from Ukraine, which attracted the attention of investors and well-known representatives of the blockbuster industry.

Representatives of the press contacted one of its participants, Vadim Grusha, to learn about the details of the solution being developed by the project, the impressions of the trip, as well as further plans.

Press: Vadim, hello! First of all, we want to congratulate you and the rest of the project participants on your successful participation in the hackathon in the framework of such a large-scale event.

Vadim Grusha: Thank you.

Press: What is the name of your project? Tell a few words about the decision you made on the hackathon in New York.

VG: The project is called QuickBlocks. Our solution checks the status of the smart contract balances in real time, after each block. If something went wrong, then it immediately notifies all interested parties or stops part of the business logic.

In the case of The DAO, for more than six hours, no one knew that the money was stealing from the contract. Our thing would react in 15 seconds.

Press: So this is something like an audit of the work of smart contracts?

VG: Yes, only in real time.

Press: Who is on your team? From which countries are participants and how many people in total?

VG: Participants are all who are there on the site. The team gathered right on the hackathon. Valera Kashpryuk also took part. He is from Vinnitsa, like me. Valera and I made some of the representations, and also analyzed the data that Jay supplied from the block. Navrup and Liam did the business part.

Press: What was the atmosphere at the event? Have you established business relations with someone?

VG: The atmosphere is super! Almost all teams got acquainted. Everyone is open to communication. And they fed well!

It should be noted that this startup can change the course of protection in the block room.
