Day 3 21/04

As it has been said, 'whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger'. This is somewhat true to an extent.

Happy sunday beautiful Steemians.

On day 2, we were hindered by the early morning rain and Corpers were happy. We prayed for a repeat today by even singing the popular 'open the floodgate of heaven' by Sonnie Badu, it had no effect.

I guess we were done having morning breaks. We had speeches from the MC and the camp commandant, Mrs Florence.

As yesterday been Saturday, we had general cleaning. The camp has 10 platoons and we were divided to clean major areas ranging from the clinic to the popular 'MAMI' market. My platoon had to clean the female hostel, Damn! Why?

We cleaned and in no time we were done. We had morning meal of Pap and beans. I had not finished my meal that we were commanded to come out for the first parade. The essence of the paraded is to prepare us for the coming of the state governor in person of Sen. Ibikunle Amosun. There would be a swearing-in ceremony on Monday and the soldier need to keep us up with the proper training.

Worst of it, people fainted and fell. I guess they were not used to half the kind of treatment we have here. I was surprised when a guy fell too. There were laughs everywhere and we were discharged at around 11.

'The next parade would be by 3:30pm' shouted the Soldier. So, we have a couple of hours to sleep. We were all happy and I had my sleep happily. Waking up, I went to the kitchen for lunch which was Eba and Ogbono.

Thanks for reading.
