Phone calls...

Hey guyys!!!!,how are y'all today.so...remember how I said in my introduction post about how much an ardent movie lover I am?.yup,today I'm going to be talking about a movie.No...It's not a movie review ,just sharing what somethings I learnt.
The name of the movie is....(drum rolls please)-GIRLS TRIP.if you haven't watched it please do.
It's a 2017 American comedy starring the likes of Regina hall,Queen latifah,Jada pinkett Smith and Tiffany haddish(I know right..too much blackgirlmagic in one movie).It's a movie about friendship and being yourself amongst other things.
I will like to talk about friendship cause that's what really stood out for me.
In the movie,the 4girls where best friends right from college and the name of their clique was-flossy possé.they were close and tight like two puzzle pieces , until life happened.they grew older nd went their seperate ways pursuing their various careers and basically making lemonades with the lemons life threw at them (not literally).But one of them decided to have a reunion hence -The GIRLS TRIP.
It reminds me of my own girl group in secondary school-we were made up of 5 girls and we called ourselves -THE LOGMATES(because everyday after school ,we all gathered on a log of wood near the entrance of our school gate and gossiped,yabbed,talked,laughed about anyone or anything or ourselves).we knew all the latest hits and trend,we talked about life and what we wanted to do,we shared secrets about our crushes and yabbed the life out of anyone that happened to come to our minds.we were best friends.Then life happened too,secondary school ended and we had to move on to university,i mean we still tried to keep up with each others lifes but as 2 years grew to three and then to four; things started to slow down,phone calls were less frequent and everybody just happened to be busy with their own lives,sometimes,we even forgot to wish each other happy birthday.we are still friends but not the same way we were...
I remember a line i heard in another movie (the office party)-"ITS HARDER TO STAY FRIENDS WITH PEOPLE WHEN YOUR OLDER,SO MUCH OF YOUR OWN SHIT GOING ON".
Well...we just have to try harder huh?.
Nd its true,although it might be difficult and our pride may even get in the way or the feeling of jealousy that the other person is doing better than us. But all that doesnt matter,we need to make conscious effort to reach out to call more often,have more reunions😁.relationships really matter.Even the bible says soo...Prov 27:10"......better a nearby friend than a distant relative.so if u have a friend that u really liked and havent talked to in years,why not pick up the phone and call😃.Toodles..signing out😘
