Celebrating #stach at one: my experience
As a newbie on steemit who came in with so much zeal and passion that got watered down barely a month later because of discouraging upvotes, I attended the Ibadan meet-up. This was where I met @ejemai, he was so friendly and approachable, I had expected him to be the "I'm too busy for newbies" kind of person but no, he listened to us and even took selfies with us (till this day I can't explain how that selfie disappeared because I was going to use it to enter @tojukaka's contest then since I couldn't get a picture with @mosunomotunde and @nairadaddy😂 but it was not to be).
@ejemai was one of the speakers at the meet up and he spoke extensively about #stach, I soaked in all the information and got gingered, or not, since I didn't join stach until four months later (though I did quit steeming for about 7 weeks, allow me use weeks to dampen the effect grins).
Then that day, I stumbled across a post, click on the server invite and found myself on the server. I would usually go in on Sundays for the curation parties (when I remember) and I usually leave happier than I came in.
I was just there, enjoying the friends I had just made there and learning from their writings. I had always admired @zyzymena the first discord host I met, the way she sounds so confident and fun and control her shows always wowed me, then I met @itoroarchibong, madam laughter, ehhhe.
To cut this long testimony short, thank you to @ejemai for that chat that day, it boosted my moral and for creating stach, a place we call home, we need a stach hub in Ibadan, please consider us.
@francistagbo @mizdais I love your amazing voices
Special thank you to @zyzymena for considering me eligible to become a S.O.A.P, I'm sorry for my nonchalance, thank you for forgiving me (I love you plenty).
A bigger thank you to @winarobert, man, you are awesome, for the guidance and motivation and for being the darling husband you are to the S.O.A.Ps.
To my fellow flames, @dawizy @chinyerevivian @djoi @mizdais, thank you for keeping the fire burning.
To the S.O.A.Ps, @zyzymena @itoroarchibong, @oredebby and @julietisrael, thank you for being wonderful sisters, may we never lose our voices.
Thank you to @candyman and @mustard, I hope to see more of you💝
About the party last night anchored by @itoroarchibong and I, we had a huge turn up, lots of emotional speeches were made. @pangoli, @warpedpoetic and @ejemai all gave us a brief history of stach and believe me, I was wowed that all these were achieved within a year.
There was also the giveaway by members to other members and also to the stach account and of course, party time! Attendees will receive their packages soon.
In case you don't know or you've forgotten our shows, here's a quick reminder;
If you are yet to join us, here is the invite.
I upvoted your post.
