Diggers swearing their oath under the Southern Cross
Heres a quick little artsy monochrome render I made of Charles Doudiet's 'Sweaing Allegiance to the Southern Cross' edited in GIMP and MSpaint. Depicted is November 28, 1854, 3 days before the joint forces of the police and military would slaughter the brave men 3 days later. The oath they swore is as relevant today as ever and we should fly the Eureka flag as a sign of solidarity in the face of fascism.
"We swear by the Southern Cross to stand truly by each other and fight to defend our rights and liberties."
