Sarri has words of praise for Ross Barkley

The blues coach has words of praise for the midfielder after seeing him improve in form. It wasn't always like this when Sarri came into the club to take over the leadership of the side from Antonio Conte.

The youngster had looked like he wasn't going to fit into Sarri's style of play but game by game, he's improved and had gone on to become a regular face in the squad.

Maurizio Sarri made a bold claim in saying the player is tactical above Loftus Cheek.

The both of them were featured in the game against BATE Borisov in the Europa league on Thursday. The coach revealed that the decision hadn't been easy to make seeing that both players were attacking midfielders. Things didn't go wrong though as Giroud was able to gift his side a win, the only goal of the game.

This weekend, Chelsea faces Everton and Barkley would have a chance to face his former club, Everton.
