Maverick Vinales has returned to fit after crashing in the Czech Republic MotoGP. The Movistar Yamaha rider is now looking forward to appearing at the Austrian MotoGP.

Vinales failed to finish in the Czech Republic MotoGP race at the Brno Circuit last weekend. He was out in the first round because of an accident which also involved Stefan Bradl and Bradley Smith.

It was the first time Vinales failed to complete the race this season. The Spanish rider also looked very upset.

Accidents in the race at Brno also forced Vinales to miss the official MotoGP test at the same place on Monday (6/8/2018). He still felt pain in his shoulder.

However, Vinales felt better. He is now preparing to perform at the Austrian MotoGP which will be held at the Red Bull Ring this weekend.

"I was fine after the crash in Brno. It was a weekend to forget, so I couldn't wait to arrive in Austria. Unfortunately, I could not take the test in Brno because I still felt a little pain due to a crash, and we decided to take a rest. so it's 100% ready for the next series, "Vinales said as quoted by Crash.net.

"I actually plan to try a number of things at Brno on Monday, including acceleration, it will be very important in Red Bull Ring, where top speed will be crucial considering the design of the circuit," Vinales added.

After not getting points in Brno, Vinales dropped to fourth in the MotoGP rider standings. He collected 109 points, behind 72 points behind leaders Marc Marquez.

Vinales admitted that Red Bull Ring is not a circuit that fits Yamaha motorcycles. Even so, he still aims for maximum results so as not to be more scattered in competition.

"As I said in the previous series, we know that we must continue to score so that we are at least in the top three of the standings and to have the chance to become world champions," he said.

"Last year the race in Austria was not good for us. We finished sixth and seventh. So, I hope this year we can bring home a better result and we will work hard to achieve it," said Vinales.
