Spring madness!
One of the things I love the most about spring is what I call the “quickening”. The “quickening” is what happens when you wake up, look outside and notice buds beginning to form and break open, the flowers are starting to come up from the ground and you have that excited feeling in your belly that the darkness is beginning to recede.
This is the time when I become impatient to get my garden started and I itch to go foraging. It’s also the time when the pollinators begin to come back out. The bees, ladybugs and even the annoying fly’s.
All of these creatures play a vital role in how the plants are going to do for the upcoming year. It’s crucial for them to have plenty of food about for when they begin to awaken.
Last fall I planted 774 bulbs in my gardens to attract more pollinators as well as pretty my place up a bit. And today I saw my first bumblebee and hummingbird!!!
I am so excited for this coming year and I hope you are too!
Have a wonderful day 🤗
