How important are friendly tournaments to football clubs and are they worth the risk?
what the motive of these games ?
Real Madrid have been the first club to lose a player to a long term injury

& by first i mean in this editon but they wont be the last seeing that Ac millan too have lost Theo

for what we know these clubs arent using these games for warm up, no they could do that within their countries & neighbours so why do they travel miles only to come back already tired for the new season these tournammets are meant for for financial gains otherwise if it was for the fans we would have them play from Africa but they are playing in Asian & America which are homes to the companies that sponsor them because from the football POV travelling long distances to play fields not suitable for players, playing many games in a very short time whose results dont even matter because
u never going to find fans say bragging how Madrid beat Arsenal but remember they have lost a player & have to get around $50m to replace him seeing he is out for the whole season.
And these tournaments dont even get the teams ready for the season because
in 2015 Manchester United won every game in the pre season only to lose to swansea at the start of the season

Commercialization is taking over football & its not really a red Rose for football
