Manchester United looking to sign £44million forward – Face competition
If rumours flying around are anything to go by then Manchester United are warming up to sign the Colombian international and Atalanta forward Duvan Zapata who is on loan from Sampdoria. It is also reported that other clubs abroad like West Ham are ready to hire him.
Man Utd has been left deficient of strikers with Martial and Rashford on the sidelines due to injuries. And Lukaku who is now proving to be a hit in the Serie A, was sold to Inter Milan in the last summer transfer window and was not replaced at all.
With this being the case, Old Trafford as a matter of urgency should spend cash to hire the services of Zapata in the winter transfer window, to strengthen their strike force.
The £44million-rated (La Gazzetta Dello Sport) goalscorer was in sensational form for Atalanta in the last campaign and helped them earn Champions League qualification. In 32 league starts, he directly contributed in 30 goals (23 goals and 7 assists).
They have loaned out one of their most remarkable remarkable strikers, Lukaku, something they shouldn't have done. Well Zapata would be a great relief.
Bad decisions have been the bane of Sols administration, Zapata would be welcomed to cover up the gaping hole left by Lukaku and Sanchez.
