Juventus winger Douglas Costa hits out at agent's claims of talks with Manchester United
A talk linking a move away from serie A by the Juventus winger is being fuelled by Giovanni Branchini, agent of the Brazilian's team-mate Mattia De Sciglio.
Agent Giovanni Branchini, who represents team-mate Mattia De Sciglio but not Costa, had claimed that a number of clubs including Manchester United had tried to sign the 28-year-old Brazil international. And Douglas Costa has hit out at the agent whom he says is not his own agent.
Costa distanced himself from such reports on his Instagram page , and reaffirmed his commitment to the Juventus cause. He denied the news as baseless.
Since the start of this season, I’ve been clear that I wanted to stay here to win trophies and give blood for the Juve jersey.
Junior Mendoza is my only agent and the only person authorised to speak on my behalf.”
Thank God Costa is back fit and back on form, after spending much of the 2018/2019 campaign on the sidelines with injury. I don't see him going anywhere soon.
