I’ve messed up several times’ - Has Neymar finally realised it’s time to grow up?
Character is everything. The behavioural pattern of a man could make or mar him. The Brazilian has skills no doubt but outside the football field, his character is nothing to write home about and has often spoiled a career now at a crossroads.
The 27 years old Neymar must make up his mind to grow up as a man, especially outside the pitch if he's ever to reach his full potential.
Neymar is currently in a long drawn battle with his club Paris Saint Germain and the attacker is struggling to win back the fans' support after a summer of transfer imbroglio. It irked the fans no end as he made no secret of his desire to return to Barcelona doing everything he could, and he threw a mighty tantrum when it failed to materialise. This put him in dire straits and in a mess that was largely his own.
But in all of these, Neymar has wasted no time letting his on-field quality do the talking, by scoring winning goals in three of his four matches since returning to action.
“I messed up several times and recovering all the confidence I had has a high price, but I think it’s normal for human beings to fail, it’s part of life and due to these errors you grow and learn."
Could this be an apology in subtlety for the bad ways he has behaved?
Apologies accepted! The PSG fan base should let things go, he has paid his dues already and making them
Those are the most unassuming words Neymar has spoken recently, maybe he has learnt his lessons.
