The family of late Super Eagles star Promise Isaac has announced the funeral arrangements of the son who died on the 2nd of October 2014 in the United States.

Bobby Epstein, the chairman of Austin Bold FC, announced that the Nigerian player died when after he was unused as a substitute in a 2-1 victory against Portland Timbers.

Promise Isaac died after he collapsed during a workout in a gym at his apartment. The report says he died of heart failure. He died at the age of 31.

His family said his remains would leave America to Imo State his hometown, and he would be buried on the 14th of December 2019.
Isaac became famous when he became the captain of Nigeria's U20 Flying Eagles and led them to the final of the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup in the Netherlands. Because of his commitment to his career, he was named the captain at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and led the team to win a Silver medal.
