CHRISTIANO RONALDO'S DAYS IN JUVENTUS MAY BE OVER SOON
Christiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus was a massive surprise to many fans. He won various trophies for Real Madrid, and sooner than we expected, he packed his bags and headed for Juventus. He was sold for a whopping 100 million Euros, including wages for four years. This amount was the highest fee ever paid by an Italian club and the highest paid on a player above 30 years.
But this amount is justified considering the caliber of player Ronaldo is.
Ronaldo came into Juventus with lots of morale, and he was a massive motivation to other players. He brought confidence and an elite mentality to his team.
The club desperately needed to win the Champions League that was why Ronaldo was brought in. With his five-time record, the club felt he was the right man for the job.
Last season, Juventus failed to win the Champions League as they dropped out in the quarter-finals. Though they sit on top at the group stage, Ronaldo has scored only one goal in five appearances. This was unlike his debut season, where he scored 28 goals in 43 matches.
Ronaldo has set high standards in his career, which is why eyebrows are raised as to his recent performance. Fans have doubts about Ronaldo's relationship with Sarri. It is speculated that they may be having a rift. Whether or not any disagreement exists between them, the Champions League title is all that matters.
It may be too early to judge Ronaldo's performance because he has three more seasons to redeem his image in Juventus.
