Up a few minutes before five today and well over another hour short. Maybe I should adjust my expectations and set six hours as my goal...then I’d be over nearly every day! 😛

Did the usual morning business. Not a lot happening. Bitcoin rising somewhat, but not a lot of volume behind it, so I’m still in a holding pattern.

Today was my two year birthday on the blockchain! 🥳 🎂 🍰 🧁 What a long, strange trip it’s been.

Got my stuff done early and helped the students with some calculus over on Discord. This was a cool volume problem...fun to do it two different ways and get the same answer. 🤓

We went and picked up Lady from Mom’s house and headed out to the back roads. We thought we might get the best of both worlds...out in the woods (sort of) but less bugs.

Unfortunately, we were wrong and had countless numbers of skeeters swarming all over us. We stuck it out for a full kilometer and then had to admit that we were miserable and turn back.

It was still plenty early enough, though, so we did a loop in town and down to the lake...muuuuuch better!

Was really quite cold out and I had a t-shirt, long-sleeve undershirt, long-sleeve Shirt, and a jacket on.

I did snap a couple of nice pics before we bailed.

Been trying to get shots of dragonflies for days now...they don’t sit still long.

Warmed up a little bit after the sun came out. Disappointed to have to be stuck in town, but it is what it is.

The geese were a little aggravated that we were coming near them and prepped to jump in the water, but we just took a picture and they relaxed.

Lots of boaters down at the lake today...perfect day to violently rip a sentient being from its habitat by its mouth.

Brand new baby pinecones!

We even saw a muskrat! He was munching away on some garbage that had collected in the drainage ditch there...I told him there was a nice lake just down the way, but he just dove under and didn’t want to listen.

Afterward we went into town to do the weekly grocery shopping. We didn’t do too bad this week and got out the door for under a hundred bucks! 🤗

Once we got back and put stuff away, there was a meeting over on the Hive Discord with the CEO of Tornio. They’re partnered with Visa to provide a direct way to spend crypto basically anywhere! It seems brilliant (although only currently available in the US). There is a $5 monthly maintenance fee and a $10 minimum balance, but if we get 1,000 people to sign up and deposit $10, they will add HIVE and work toward a HIVE (exclusive) backed card!!!! This could be massive!!!!

In the evening we had homemade pizza for dinner and watched the new Space Force on Netflix. I fell asleep, but it’s really funny! Worth the watch! 😃

I guess I’m just unlucky (and wasted money on a police station), ‘cause I got robbed again for the second day in a row. 🤬

I got all my Holybread tasks done today! 🥳

Still falling in the ranks a bit, but holding in the eighties. Waiting for the economics to rebalance...things are very out of whack at the moment.

I had Life splinter for my Splinterlands quest today. I think I underestimate that splinter’s power. Usually at these levels I’d take a chance on another quest, but I gave it a go and it wasn’t bad at all.
