Are The Warriors Scared? - NBA Playoff ReviewsteemCreated with Sketch.

Are the Golden State Warriors scared? At the start of the NBA season many felt that the Curry, Durant and company was a lock for the championship, but without Curry they aren't the same dominant team. Looking at the western conference there's a couple teams that could give the Warriors problems, and they may not make it out of the second round.

When they finally finish off the Spurs they will face the Pelicans, which should scare the Warriors. Gentry, the pelican coach was an assistant at Golden State, so he knows the system, plus the Pelicans match up pretty well with the Warriors, especially without Steph.

Anthony Davis has been a beast all season and he has been playing on another level in the playoffs. He is a great rim protector and one of the few big men who is athletic enough to stick with Kevin Durant. Rondo is also playing great ball, especially on the offensive end, getting his teammates easy baskets. And Holiday is playing great on both ends, especially the defensive side, and if he can shut down Lillard he will definitely be able to hold his own against Thompson.

We don't know when Curry will be back, and even when he does come back we don't know how well he will play. It will also take time to work him back into the system, so the Pelicans can pull it off. It will be a long shot, but No one expected them to sweep the Blazers.

I was also thinking about something last night, which would change the face of the NBA next season. We know AD is the future of the Pelicans, and Cousins will be back next year. There's no need for two bigs in today's NBA, so why not try and trade Boogie for Leonard? It's obvious Leonard no longer wants to be in San Antonio, and Pop has had success with big men in the past, so it would be a win win, and it would make the Pelicans a threat for years to come.

Who do you have winning it all in the NBA this year?

The Pelicans look great right now. I think that GS got really lucky with their matchups though. They get San Antonio without Kawhi which is probably the weakest team in the West, while the Rockets get Minnesota, who were a 3rd seed team when healthy earlier in the year, and than they get OKC or the Jazz, which will both be a difficult matchup. If GS got OKC in the first round, or even Minnesota, without Curry, they would be in trouble. They could be next round if Curry doesn't come back.

If they got OKC Westbrook would have def. made Durant regret his decision. As good as Thompson is and as great as Durant is, GS needs Curry more than either of those guys. I hope Curry comes back 100%, but he has had a lot of leg issues in his career, so we won't kniw til be comes back.

upvoting you because I miss ur poem entries :-p Cheers!

Thank you! I still write poetry, just haven't posted in a couple days.

Green was playing some of the best playoff defense he's ever played just couldn't stop aldrige lucky bank shot 3 pointer and corner fade away off the help defense. His 3pointers were off and his shot was off all game. At the end there he didn't trust himself to make the shot and then igy hesitated oddly in the last few seconds. They are beatable, but ultimately I have them to win the championship if healthy. Who do you want to see in the western conference championship?

Being from Kentucky I would love to see the Pelicans go all the way with Davis and Rondo, because both of those guys played great for UK

The Warriors are scared this year and they should be. The Rockets are the best team in the league and they will go all the way this year. They are lead by the leagues MVP and Harden will not waste this great opportunity.

The Rockets are good, and I've liked them since the days of The Dream. I just dunno how far Harden and CP3 can take a team in the playoffs.
