Time of use of the pieces in the MotoGP
Hello, on this occasion we will know the maintenance required by the most important pieces in the race motorcycles used in what is undoubtedly the most important championship of 2-wheeled vehicles .. MotoGP
The mileage traveled is different for each of the pieces mentioned below. It is important to replace it because the estimated use generates a depreciation in the pieces.
Maybe they are impressed and wonder why the current bikes have so few mechanical breakdowns, the truth is that motoGP is like they were always new packages, ready to run. There are some pilots called testers used in Japan, Italy and Austria that perform tests on motorcycles, they are set to turn many times in such a way to get an answer to the time the parts will last, that is why it is known how often Km / piece would be changed !!!
When an item is broken, it is where you take the data of how much kilometer traveled, for when they are in a competition they can change that piece with an anticipation of 10% or 15% margin of safety. If in the tests carried out by the tester pilots a chain broke or stopped working correctly at 1000kms, the engineers would change it 10 or 15% before, that is to say more or less at 800kms or 850kms of travel.
- Engine oil and Refrigerant is changed every: 350Km.
Pinion and Crown is changed every 1,000Kms
Transmission chain is replaced every: 500km / 1.000Kms (Once reached the 500km, the mechanic in charge of changing the rear rubber, has the order to check link by link to determine if it requires immediate replacement)
Source Clutch discs will be replaced every 1,000Kms
- Wheels: Every 1.200Kms
- Brake Pads: They replace each: 1,200Kms
- Engine: They perform a check every 2,000Kms (It is curious the subject of the engine in the MotoGP since throughout the season can only use 7 engines) These engines can not be opened to repair and check that they require change BUT, through the intake ducts and escapes the Eng. can introduce cameras very similar to those of making endoscopies and determine the state of all the pieces.
- Sensors are always checked and replaced every 2,000Kms (they are many and distributed throughout the motorcycle)
- Chassis and swingarm: 4,500kms or after a very spectacular fall.
- Steering wheel and Seat: replace them every 4.000Kms
- These 2 last pieces are disassembled daily for review: Suspensions and brake calipers.
I'm grateful to share with you family of @steemit this interesting data for lovers of Motorcycles and Sport in general...
