RE: The Curious Case of Tony Bellew
Hi @brandonk this is the last chance saloon for David Haye! He is only really fighting now for the money. Another loss to Bellew means he would no longer be credible on the heavyweight scene & no last big pay day against Anthony Joshua which Haye desperately wants!
If Haye has anything left in the tank and his body can handle it I think he should beat Bellew this time. Tony is not really comfortable fighting at this weight and wouldn't really stand a chance against real heavyweights like Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder.
I think even if Bellew wins and ends Haye's career he should go back to cruiser weight and challenge for his old belt, due to his status as emeritus champion with the WBC.
The other option could be against Tyson Fury which would likely be a mismatch but a big purse for Bellew, possibly part of the deal with Eddie Hearn for Fury to fight Anthony Joshua further down the road..
I agree with all your points, rooting for neither man, just a good fight!
