Two in a Row for the Kings, Still Only 9-14-1
The L.A. Kings have allowed only three goals in their last 2 games. Dustin Brown has 4 goals in the last 2 games.
Despite that collapse against the Avalanche goalie Calvin Peterson is showing a 927 save percentage for this season, a very respectable number. The Kings had faith in him despite letting in 6 goals 4 games ago. Looks like he is emerging as Bill Ranford's next protege. Keep up the good work Peterson.
We have been down on Brown for a while now. He was instrumental along with Kopitar in winning that first Cup. Then he signed big and disappeared. He has not been earning his paychecks to the point of having the C stripped off his jersey. In watching him live at the stadium I saw him fall, a lot, he would be flat on his back on the ice at times. So, we hope that the old Brown is back. There is a reason he had that C to begin with. He was tough, feisty and talented enough to post numbers. Keep up the good work Brown.
Remember Hagelin? The super fast Swede we were excited about? He has a sprained MCL.
All in all this is a good two games considering Peterson is our third string goalie. Thursday and Friday we play at Edmonton then Calgary at 1800 Pacific Standard Kings time. Should be great games.
Get up, Stand up.
