Jordan Montgomery leads Yanks to 8th Straight Win
Looking calm, cool, and collected in his second major league start, 24 year old left handed pitcher Jordan Montgomery lead the Yankees to their eight straight victory over the Chicago White Sox on Monday night. The 7-4 Yankee victory gave Montgomery his first major league win.
Relying heavily on his 91 MPH fastball, Montgomery pitched 6 shut out innings. He started the seventh inning by giving up consecutive singles, followed by a 3 run home run by the White Sox's Yolmar Sanchez. He received lot's of hitting support from his teammates, including home runs by Matt Holliday and Aaron Judge.
Can the Yankees make it 9 in a row? Luis Severino takes the mound tonight against the White Sox. Stay tuned!
