Luck VS Judgement - A Trixie Challenge - Day 8
An interesting day then, yesterday. Luck had no returns at all but it was Judgement’s best day of the competition so far. A win, a loss and a non-runner making for returns of £2, a break even day. More importantly in the context of LvJ it puts *Judgement in the lead, only narrowly sure, but most people on here are regularly bettors and the idea that plain luck can outwit thought and process is not a palatable one.
Of greater interest to me is the hypothetical profit and loss figures to a £1 level stake. Yesterday’s winner makes four in seven days and makes for a profit of over £6. I’ll be keeping an eye on this over the coming eighteen days and might even go back over the Trixie Challenge and run a check on those numbers.
Here’s @happyaslarry in a wordy mood on today’s random picks:
”Not The Chablis just kind of stood out, a name with a nice ring to it. I was in a wine shop on Saturday buying some for a friend and someone came in and asked where he could find the cheap Chablis. Maybe thats why it stuck in my head? Shankly’s Dawn - after missing Klopp, who placed, I’m not taking that risk again! And finally Patrick, my brother in law. Lets see if he can bring me some luck!”
Starting pots: £50 each.
Luck yesterday: £0
Judgement yesterday: £2
Luck total returns: £2.34
Judgement total returns: £2.38
Days remaining: 17
Winners/P&L to £1 level stake.
Luck: 2/-£8.75
Judgement: 4/+£6.33
Regardless of how small the profit is. A profit is a profit!
Go ponies go!
True that, Green is the dream!!
Another race we both have runners in today. Whatever happens, good luck to us!
