RE: ADSactly Sports - The World's game: The Real "Football"

@adsactly, @broncofan99
I will not be offended by the term of "soccer" :) It makes in the article a clear distinction between Football (which is mainly played by trowing or running with a ball ?) and European Football, where only 1 player may touch the ball with his hands on the field :)
What makes it special according to me is that it is one of the few sports where not the best team always wins. Lots of upsets happen during a competition. A team can be a huge favorite have plenty shots on goal, hit the posts many of time during a match and still can loose or only draw!
While I do like the American sports also, I do find it strange that a team which wins the Superbowl, Stanly Cup or NBA finals, call themselves World Champion :)

Like written in the article, not a lot of knowledge is required to watch a game! Which makes it accessible for kids at young age and even wifes :)
I am really looking forward to the world cup! I look forward to watch the games of Belgium with my kids. Even if they win there first match, Belgium goes crazy :)

But we have to honest! Football matches can be boring! And lots of foul play happens. Every player is trying to cheat, with (swalbes, acting to be hit by an opponent), trying to gain time and so on!
American sports or much fairer in this manner!

I am hosting a Steem World Cup contest and it is great to see that people from all over the world are participating in my @sbcbot World Cup Contest! Could also be related with the prize pool of 100 SBD!

Thanks for such a thought out and relevant response. I agree that there are fewer upsets that happen in soccer and in the top leagues there are teams that are great every year. More parody would make these games and leagues much more engaging for sure. I would have to disagree with the cheating statement. There are plenty of teams and players trying to cheat in American sports. From tar on a baseball, stealing calls from the sidelines and illegal curves in sticks. Everyone is trying to get an advantage.

Mhh, I did overestimate the fairness of the games in the US. Which suddenly reminds of the "Deflated ball" gate with from Tom Brady and the Patriots.
What I do like about the US system is that they try to create teams of equal strength with the drafts and the salary cap! This kind of things are not possible within football/soccer. Here all teams are having their own youth teams. Hoping on the next Messi or Ronaldo! In the US the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB teams don't really have this!
Which makes the drafting principle possible!
If an article is well written it deserves a great response! So thanks for the article!
