The NFL refused to acknowledge the fact that National Anthem protests are really cutting into their product. Now, to make matters worse, players are going to start taking their protests onto the field with them.

I love the NFL and have many fond memories of both games and friendship that revolves around it. These protests are ruining the game and the league is encouraging it by doing nothing to stop it.

I understand constitutional rights, but this is a business and the business is to put out a product that people want. If I work at McDonald's, I'm required to dress a certain way and treat customers a certain way. I may have constitutional right to speak my mind about the customers, but if my behavior jeopardizes their business, they are not required to employee me.

These protesting players are basically taking a big huge dump on my Big Mac and McDonald's is telling me that I have to like it and pay for it, and the media is telling me that if I don't like it then there is something wrong WITH ME!

The NFL should clamp down of this type of behavior. If you refuse to stand during the National Anthem, stay in the locker room. If you protest during the game, you will be fined. If you speak out during a post-game press conference while acting as an employee of the league, you will be fined. What you do on your own time off the field, that's your business.

The NFL refuses to do this so they are losing business.

I want to watch football to escape the politics, not to have it shoved back in my face.

Personally, I'm struggling with this because I love the NFL but I hate what they are allowing it to become.

I completely agree with you!!

The NFL has taken fans for granted for a long time. They yank people around nine ways from here to tomorrow.

Overpriced merchandise, crazy lawsuits against individuals just trying to watch the games in their own way, abusing taxpayer dollars to build private stadiums (which they could easily pay for themselves)---the list of their sins just grows and grows.

Maybe they need a little humility.

California simply lacks passionate fans. I know there are some, I'm speaking generally. They'll support winners but that is it. The Raiders have the best fan support out there and their leaving town. The NFL is going to regret having two teams move to LA. Moving the Niners 50 miles out of town wasn't a wise choice either.

Too many teams there I think.

I admit I only watched the second half of TNF but it was entertaining. I would watch that over 98% of what's on TV these days. Just a thought... parking in CA is a bummer. I know a Rams season ticket owner and if they are not parked like 2 hours before the game the spot is sold. Go Broncos...

full football experience and full power @broncnutz

The NFL should never have let players take a knee during the national anthem. Do you think that might be why @broncnutz.

UPVOTED

Well the Constitution says you can't really stop them......which I guess is a good thing in the BIG Picture. I would never take a knee and I think it's shameful.

I think it's funny that you support Trump, but find Kap's actions shameful. To each his own I guess.

I think kneeling during the national anthem is shameful no matter who is in the White House, Trump has nothing to do with it. Why would you even say something like this or make this correlation?

I wasn't saying it has anything to do with it. I'm just saying Trump does a lot of shameful things, and you support him. Kap is just standing up for peoples' rights and you find him shameful. That's the correlation.

I don't think Trump does much that is shameful at all and that why I support him. Trump is 1000x better than any president we have had in last 20 years. I see no correlation what so ever. And why did you make my sports blog about the Broncos political in the first place douche bag?..... please unfollow me and go fuck yourself. You will never get an upvote from me for trying to make this a political post.when I never intended it to be. Kap wore a shirt praising Castro you moronic fool.....that's not standing up for people rights. Any player who kneels during the anthem INCLUDING ALL DENVER BRONCOS are shameful in my eyes.

Lol you had to know this topic was going to come up. You can get in your feelings if you want. It's all good. I aint mad atcha. Them Raiders are gonna wash the Broncos no matter who is president. Peace.

And the NFL did not "allow" him to kneel. They blacklisted him for it.

Lots of players are kneeling, Kap is out of this league because he sucks playing QB.

There are teams he could make better.

Did you see how many empty seats there were for the Chargers / Dolphins game? It has been a joke for some of these teams. Yet, ol' Roger Goodell is about ready to get paid big $$$!

They could not sell out 30k seats. The Blake Shelton concert I went to last week had more people.

I don't know about NFL fans..😐
But I'm big fan of you @broncnutz..😊
Nice effort and upvoted.. Cheers..

Hey thanks!

The only one's at the 9'er game is the faithful, others do not want to watch a looser. Maybe some of them bandwagoned across the bay to the Raiders! LOLOL. The NFL will always make $$$ though, TV time and commercials will generate huge bucks.

The Donks still fill it up!!!

We jam pack it, and the parking lot and every single seat in a bar around the stadium. A seat anywhere near our grass is hard to come by.
