Cebu PWDs champion at Negros Oriental

Cebu-based Philippine Accessible Disability Services Inc won the Dragonboat Racing at 2018 Bulgaan Dragon Boat Race which was held at San Jose, Negros Oriental. They won the championship for 200-meter women's small boat in 1 minute and 19.09 seconds. John Paul Maunes, Executive officer was so happy for PWD Paddlers to win and also proud for their improved capabilities. All the teams that joined the competition were strong and fast but Pads team are also prepared for the competition. With their hard work, training, preparation, and dedication the won the match for the women's small boat.
Aside from dragonboat. Pads also have programs for other sports events for PWDs. Currently, Pads are having a seminar about sitting volleyball which is held at Aznar Colisuem by coach Eric Hodgson.
The team had been competing for so many competition, one of which is the 9th Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival which is held at the Victoria Harbour on June 22-24, 2018 were they defend their gold medal. And that time they were having intensive training (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon). They also won five gold medals in the Cebu International competition. The team was composed of deaf persons, amputees, polio survivors.
