Golovin dump chelsea for emenalo's PSG

Michael Emenalo was often derided by Chelsea supporters over some the transfer policy during his time as technical director at the club but now he has taken a massive Blues target away from the Premier League club.

Emenalo is now the sporting director of Monaco and they have completed the signing Aleksandr Golovin from CSKA Moscow, with the Blues having been close to taking him to Stamford Bridge after an excellent World Cup.

However, after a reported talk with Emenalo the 22-year-old has decided to join the Ligue 1 side with the announcement to be made in the coming days.

Via Gianluca Di Marzio, Golovin has now been spotted in a Monaco shirt and has signed five-year deal.

That means Chelsea have missed out on signing one of their prospects for the summer, with the transfer market having been pretty slow for the Blues. Rob Green became just the second signing of the summer this morning, adding to Jorginho who joined on the same weekend as Maurizio Sarri.

However, while Chelsea are yet to really get going in the transfer window, Monaco also took Jonathan Panzo from the Blues' academy, and Chelsea fans have a new respect for Emenalo.
